Cabinet Greenlights ₹30,000 Crore Metro Rail Projects in Karnataka and Maharashtra
The Cabinet has given the green light to two corridors under Bangalore Metro Rail Project Phase-3 and the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project, with a total budget of ₹12,200
The Union Cabinet on August 16 cleared three metro rail projects in Karnataka and Maharashtra, with a total estimated cost of around Rs 30,765 crore.
This includes two corridors under Bangalore Metro Rail Project Phase-3, with a total estimated completion cost of Rs 15,611 crore, and the Thane Integral Ring Metro Rail Project, pegged at Rs 12,200 crore.
The Cabinet has also cleared the extension of Pune Metro Phase-1 from Swargate to Katraj, covering 5.46 km. The project is expected to be completed by 2029 at a total cost of Rs 2,954.53 crore.
